Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has announced plans to construct additional functional Primary Healthcare Centres in each ward across the state. This move aims to enhance healthcare delivery and accessibility for citizens.
Speaking at the commissioning of new facilities at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi on Friday, Governor Mohammed highlighted his administration’s efforts to improve healthcare in the state.
These efforts include declaring a state of emergency in the health sector, renovating general hospitals, and repositioning the Specialist Hospital to provide complementary services to the Teaching Hospital.
The Governor emphasized his commitment to uplifting healthcare delivery at the local level, in collaboration with development partners.
He was joined by dignitaries, including the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and the Minister of Health, Professor Mohammed Ali Pate, who praised Governor Mohammed’s leadership and reiterated the federal government’s support for enhancing healthcare delivery in Bauchi state and Nigeria.
