The Taraba State Government has reinforced its commitment to improving healthcare access for children and pregnant women through partnerships with local and international organizations.
Governor Agbu Kefas, while receiving representatives from the Neya Kalu Foundation and Annomo Health on Monday at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo, emphasized that every resident of the state deserves access to quality healthcare.
“We are determined to provide world-class healthcare services, even in the most remote areas of Taraba State,” Governor Kefas said.
As part of the initiative, the state government is providing buses and mini-ambulances to the sixty schools currently being remodelled across the state to ensure emergency medical support and health services reach students efficiently.
The Governor also directed the Commissioner for Health to conduct a comprehensive tour of medical facilities across the state in collaboration with the visiting organizations. The tour aims to identify areas that require upgrades and interventions to achieve universal access to quality healthcare.
Governor Kefas assured residents that the government would continue to collaborate with individuals and organizations to strengthen the state’s healthcare system and improve health outcomes.
