Over 200 Thousand Gombe Citizens Enroll In GoHealth

In its move to provide universal health coverage for all citizens, Gombe State Government under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON has announced the enrollment of more than two hundred thousand people into the states insurance scheme tagged ‘GoHealth’.

This was made known by the Executive Secretary, Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, Dr Abubakar Musa while highlighting the success of the programme.

Dr Abubakar said “from May, 2021 to date, we were able to successfully enroll over a hundred thousand people who have been granted access to the best quality health care services. We have also successfully enrolled and provided access to care for not less than a hundred thousand poor and vulnerable across the state”.

The Executive Secretary explained that about 8 persons out of 10 beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction with the quality of services they receive. “We recently conducted a client-satisfaction survey and found that 79% of GoHealth beneficiaries are satisfied with the services they receive.

“We also established call and contact centre in each of the 11 LGAs of the State in our efforts take our services to the doorsteps of the people at the grassroots and make ourselves available to attend to their health needs”, he added.

GoHealth has also provided 11 brand new motorcycles, one for each of the established centers across all the LGAs of the state to provide mobility and ensure effective monitoring and supervision.

GoHealth is a state insurance scheme inaugurated by Inuwa-led Administration to provide quality and affordable healthcare services to the people in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs goal No. 3) of the United Nations that seek to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all people without discrimination.
