Yobe Partners Traditional Rulers to Expand Youth Empowerment Programs

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, and traditional rulers have agreed to expand skill acquisition and agricultural programs for youths to enhance social support and economic development.

According to the Commissioner of Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Alh. Abdullahi Bego, the state government will prioritize social support through empowerment schemes and trainings for youths and women to cushion the current socio-economic difficulties.

The meeting emphasized the need for local government and traditional councils to attend to local and community matters to strengthen trust, good neighborliness, and community cohesion.

The state government’s multi-billion-naira agricultural empowerment program was commended, and citizens were urged to remain law-abiding and pray for the state’s security, peace, and prosperity.

The meeting, chaired by Governor Buni, was attended by the deputy governor, 14 emirs, commissioners, and other top officials.
