CDCFIB Announces Changes In Recruitment, Replaces CBT Centres With Online Test

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that all shortlisted applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise will now take their tests online.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, and released on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the recruitment portal will officially close on Friday, November 7, 2025, after which the online test will commence.

“All shortlisted applicants will take part in an online test, which will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, and conclude on Wednesday, November 19, 2025,” the statement read in part.

The Board emphasized that the test will be conducted exclusively online, with no physical Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in use.

“Accordingly, all previously allocated CBT centres are discontinued,” it added.

Applicants who had earlier chosen physical CBT locations are advised to revisit the portal — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — to schedule their date and time for the online test.

The Board further announced that the link for the online examination will be released a day before the test begins, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Candidates were also urged to ensure they have the necessary devices and stable internet connectivity to avoid disqualification.

“Applicants are to ensure they have a stable internet connection and the required devices, and to follow the instructions on the examination slip carefully,” the statement said.

Jibril assured that the Board remains committed to transparency and fairness throughout the recruitment process.

“The Board wishes to inform the general public that it remains committed to a smooth and transparent recruitment process,” he said.
