The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise will commence on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, the CDCFIB informed all shortlisted candidates to prepare adequately and strictly adhere to the examination guidelines to avoid disqualification.
According to the statement, only candidates who have been officially scheduled will be permitted to log in for the exam. The test will be AI-proctored to monitor and detect all forms of malpractice, including third-party interference and device manipulation.
Candidates were advised to ensure a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and the use of appropriate devices—preferably laptops. While mobile phones and tablets may be used, the Board warned that interruptions such as incoming calls or switching applications could trigger violation alerts, which may lead to automatic disqualification.
“The portal will open 30 minutes before each scheduled exam. Candidates are to log into the Board’s portal at http://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng at the exact exam window selected during registration, complete the photo verification process, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically at the scheduled time,” the statement added.
The Board further noted that candidates who experience disconnection during the test can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.
Maj. Gen. Jibril wished all participating applicants success in the examination process.
The CDCFIB oversees recruitment for key federal agencies including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
