Governor Bala Receives Shandong Minsheng Group as BMCC Mining Project Takes Off in Dass

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Saturday received a delegation from China’s Shandong Minsheng Group, led by its Chairman, Mr. Yu Tao, during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Bauchi.

The visit followed the official launch of the Bauchi Mining and Commodities Company (BMCC), a joint venture between the Bauchi State Government and Shandong Minsheng Group, aimed at unlocking the state’s abundant mineral resources and expanding economic opportunities for residents.

Governor Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering global partnerships that promote development, boost industrial activities, and create sustainable employment for the state’s growing population. He commended the Shandong Minsheng Group for its readiness to invest in Bauchi, expressing optimism that the BMCC initiative would become a reference point for future investment collaborations.

Mr. Yu Tao, in his remarks, thanked the governor for the warm reception and the administration’s continued support. He noted that the company’s venture into Bauchi signals the beginning of stronger economic cooperation between Nigeria and China. According to him, the mining project will not only deepen bilateral ties but also attract new investments and accelerate economic growth across the state.

Also present at the event was the Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Muhammad Maiwada Bello, who earlier at the Dass launch provided a detailed overview of BMCC’s strategic importance and its role in the state’s long-term economic agenda.
