Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has commiserated with Alhaji Muhammad Dahiru Zayi over the death of five members of his family in a tragic motor accident.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday in Damaturu by his Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, the governor described the accident as terrifying, sad and devastating.
Buni said the loss of five members of one family in a single road accident was a painful tragedy for the bereaved family and the state at large.
“This is a sad, very unfortunate and a trying moment for the family and the entire state,” the governor said.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant their souls eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
The governor noted that although the pain of losing five family members at once was beyond imagination, people of faith believed that death occurs at the appointed time.
Buni also prayed to Allah to grant Muhammad Zayi the strength and fortitude to bear the huge and irreparable loss.
