The Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ADSPHCDA) is partnering International Rescue Committee (IRC) to end malnutrition among 34,000 affected children.
The treatments which target children below five years consist of severe acute malnutrition (SAM) and moderate acute malnutrition (MAM).
The state Deputy governor Professor Kaletapwa assured of government support during an interface with a delegation from the IRC on Thursday.
Farauta said government is ever ready to provide enabling environment for partners willing to support the developmental drive of the administration for smooth execution of programs that will impact the lives of the citizens.
Dr Wale Osofisun, Senior Director, Governance Technical Unit of IRC who represented the country director insisted that addressing malnutrition is paramount for a healthy and productive society.
He revealed that the committee has adopted simplified solutions in addressing moderate, acute and severe acute malnutrition, advocating for hands to be on deck to achieve that.
Dr Felix Tangwami, Commissioner of Health and Human Services said the ministry and all other relevant agencies are ready to key into the program as soon as it starts for the benefits of the citizens.
