Fintiri Dissolves Adamawa Investment Board, Names Caretaker

Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the dissolution of the Board and Management of the Adamawa State Investment and Property Development Company Limited.

In a statement issued by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Tuesday, the government said the decision was part of efforts to reposition the company for improved efficiency and service delivery.

Following the dissolution, the governor directed that the Executive Secretary of the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency, Mr Halilu Malabu, should oversee the affairs of the company pending the appointment of a new board and management team.

Fintiri also instructed the dissolved board to hand over all responsibilities to the caretaker, who will exercise the functions of the board until it is reconstituted.

The statement did not specify reasons for the dissolution but reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening institutions and enhancing economic development in the state.
