North-East Joint Domestic Trade Fair has commenced in Bauchi, with Gombe State making an impressive showing ahead of its Jewel Day on Wednesday.
The event was launched on Saturday by Vice President Kashim Shettima, alongside Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and other North East leaders.
The trade fair is part of a strategic effort by the Northeast Governors Forum to revitalize commerce and business activities in the region, which has been heavily impacted by insurgency. The goal is to propel the six states towards sustainable development.
Gombe State, recognized as the commercial nerve center of the North East and the best state in Nigeria for ease of doing business, has set up an impressive pavilion at the trade fair complex.
All 11 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Gombe are showcasing various items, produce, and mineral resources unique to their respective areas, with the aim of attracting business investments and highlighting lucrative opportunities.
Local businessmen from Gombe are actively participating in the trade fair, a testament to the state’s vibrant commercial environment.
The event is expected to foster economic growth and development in the region, and Gombe State’s impressive showing is a clear indication of its commitment to driving commerce and business activities in the North East.
