Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to enhancing the state’s cultural amenities, particularly the Yankari Games Reserve and Zaranda Hotels.
During an inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation of Yankari Games Reserve on Tuesday, Governor Bala praised the foresight of former Governor Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Muazu in revitalizing the reserve.
The Governor attributed the reserve’s decline to insufficient attention and oversight by previous administrations, issuing a stern warning to intruders and animal killers. He assured that his administration will enhance security in the area and protect the rights of the species.
Architect Ruben Okoya of Architect Tronix, assured the Governor of a quality project, stating that upon completion, Yankari will be on par with its global counterparts.
The Governor’s entourage included top government functionaries, notably the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, and honorable commissioners.
This development is part of Governor Bala’s efforts to develop human resources and make Bauchi’s cultural amenities more appealing to tourists and investors alike.
