Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State on Tuesday performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 7 Span Overhead Bridge along Yola – A. A. Lawan Junction and Half Cloverleaf Interchange at Yola-Numan Road.
In a statement by Muhammad B. Tukur Gcfr, SSA New Media to the Governor, the projects are crucial for completing the superhighway initiated last year. Once completed, these overhead bridges would bring the total number of flyovers in Yola to 5, all constructed by the Fintiri administration.
Governor Fintiri emphasized that these projects will enhance the city’s aesthetics and provide convenience to commuters.
The governor also highlighted the increasing pressure on urban facilities due to Yola’s rapid expansion and growing investments.
The member representing Yola North in the State House of Assembly Hon Suleiman Alkali praised the governor’s ability to address traffic challenges in the state capital.
The Commissioner of Works and Energy Development Adamu Atiku Abubakar emphasized that these projects signify the governor’s commitment to advancing Adamawa State.
The Project Manager of Triacta Nigeria Limited ensured the timely completion and quality execution of the projects.
The District Head of Karewa expressed gratitude to the governor for the futuristic construction of the flyovers in Yola.
