Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State Saturday extended his congratulations to the new leadership of the Church Of The Brethren In Nigeria (EYN) and encouraged them to uphold Biblical principles and serve both God and humanity.
In a statement by Muhammad B. Tukur Gcfr, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Governor Fintiri pledged to work closely with the new leadership to enhance Adamawa State.
At the inauguration held at EYN Headquarters, Governor Fintiri stressed the significance of interfaith harmony and urged religious leaders to be positive role models for their followers.
He also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the church from being entangled in politics and misinformation.
The newly appointed EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Mbaya, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the outgoing leadership and committed to continuing their work, while also outlining plans to strengthen the church’s mission both spiritually and physically.
The newly inaugurated leadership team comprises Rev’d Dr Daniel Mbaya as president, Rev Nuhu Mutah Abba as Vice President, Rev James Musa as General Secretary, and Rev Timta Luka Musa as Administrative Secretary. The church’s spiritual adviser Rev. Ezra Dawi administered the oath of office to the new leadership.
