Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, on Saturday visited Mambilla Beverages Limited, producers of Highland Tea and Green Tea, to assess their production and packaging procedures. The visit aimed to identify areas of support for the company’s growth and expansion.
During the on-site assessment, Governor Kefas observed that the company needs reinforcement to meet the increasing demand for its products. In response, the state government plans to partner with foreign investors to expand the tea distribution chain beyond Nigeria.
The Governor also visited the Segem Dam, a 400 Kilowatts Twin-Turbines Mini Hydro Electricity Generation Company, which supplies power to the tea factory.
The visit highlighted the state government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, from small scale to middle scale enterprises.
Concluding his visit, Governor Kefas planted a tea tree, symbolizing his administration’s support for the company’s growth and development.
The partnership with foreign investors is expected to boost the company’s production capacity, create jobs, and increase revenue for the state.
