The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with VARELIS Global Company Ltd, has opened applications for a renewable energy workshop aimed at building energy resilience and creating employment opportunities for youths in Adamawa State.
The organisers disclosed this in a public notice issued on Thursday, inviting qualified youths to apply for the intensive training programme scheduled to hold in Yola.
According to the notice, the initiative is designed to develop a skilled indigenous workforce capable of supporting Nigeria’s growing renewable energy sector, particularly in the Northeast.
It stated that participants would receive comprehensive hands-on training in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) installation, mini-grid operations, energy storage systems and renewable energy entrepreneurship.
The organisers added that trainees would also participate in the direct solar electrification of selected strategic primary healthcare facilities across Adamawa State.
They noted that the programme would go beyond technical training by providing post-training support, mentorship and free legal assistance for participants seeking to establish micro-enterprises in the renewable energy sector.
The notice explained that applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age, possess a minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), NECO or equivalent qualification, and be residents of Adamawa State.
It further stated that female participation is strongly encouraged as part of efforts to promote gender inclusion in the renewable energy industry.
Interested applicants are required to submit their applications online through the designated registration portal or QR code below:
