Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has announced a partnership between the state government and Universiti Putra Malaysia to address environmental and energy challenges.
The collaboration will focus on renewable energy, waste management, and environmental conservation.
During a courtesy call at the Government House in Bauchi, Governor Mohammed highlighted the vast potential of Bauchi State, including its arable land, and acknowledged the similarities between Nigeria and Asian countries in terms of population diversity, cultural heritage, and tourism potential. He emphasized the need for collaboration to benefit all parties involved.
Professor Latifa Abdul Manaf, leader of the delegation from Universiti Putra Malaysia, noted that the university has identified potential areas of collaboration in Bauchi State, including its arable land, Yankari Game Reserve, and human resource development institutions.
The proposed partnership aims to leverage the expertise of Universiti Putra Malaysia to address environmental and energy challenges facing Bauchi State.
