Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Ɗanyaya as the 17th Emir of Ningi.
The appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
Alhaji Haruna, the eldest son of the late Emir of Ningi, Yunusa Muhammad Ɗanyaya, was born in 1956 and previously held the title of Chiroman Ningi.
The governor made the appointment in accordance with the powers vested in him under Cap. 24 Item 3(1) of the Bauchi State laws on the Appointment of Emirs and Chiefs, following the recommendation of the kingmakers.
The state government expressed confidence that the new Emir would continue his late father’s legacy of promoting unity, peace, and development in the Ningi Emirate and Bauchi State as a whole.
