Gombe State Government has extended its food palliative distribution to security agencies in the state, presenting 380 bags of rice, 380 bags of shurghum, and 240 cartons of spaghetti to them.
The gesture, aimed at bringing relief to security personnel and their families, is part of the state government’s efforts to cushion the effects of food shortages in the country.
Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, made the presentation on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
Abdullahi said the governor’s administration has consistently distributed palliatives to vulnerable groups, religious organizations, and civil society organizations, and assured of more distributions in the future.
The security personnel appreciated the governor’s gesture and assured of judicious distribution of the food items among their personnel.
