Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has officially launched the construction of 38 kilometers of rural roads in the Kirfi Local Government Area. The project aims to improve rural connectivity and development by connecting the rural communities of Bara, Hashidu, Tubule, Garin Malam Julde, and Wanka.
At the launch ceremony in Bara Village on Wednesday, Governor Mohammed emphasized the critical role of rural infrastructure in fostering development and enhancing the quality of life for rural residents.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to addressing infrastructure gaps in rural areas to promote inclusive growth.
The governor expressed optimism about the project’s potential to transform rural communities, noting that it would ease the movement of people and goods, improve access to markets, education, healthcare, and other vital services.
Governor Mohammed praised the contractor, Triacta Nigeria Limited, for their dedication to delivering quality work and assured the public that his administration would closely monitor the project’s progress to ensure its timely completion.
The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, also commended the initiative, highlighting its positive impact on the local economy. He noted that farmers and traders would benefit from improved transportation, while residents would have better access to social services.
The event was attended by local government officials, traditional leaders, and community members, who expressed their gratitude to the governor for his focus on rural development.
