Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, is currently in the United States, meeting with international agencies and development partners to strengthen the state’s health sector.
Accompanied by Commissioner of Health, Dr. Habu Dahiru, and Chairman of the Gombe State Drug Management Agency (GODMA) Governing Board, Dr. Ismail Musa, Governor Yahaya visited the World Medical Relief headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.
The delegation inspected medical equipment for importation to enhance medical standards and address healthcare challenges in the state.
Governor Yahaya emphasized the importance of international partnerships in achieving sustainable development goals, particularly in healthcare delivery.
“Our mission is to build a resilient healthcare system that caters for all our citizens,” Yahaya said.
The initiative aims to improve healthcare services across urban and rural areas, aligning with Governor Yahaya’s commitment to sustainable development.
