Governor Bala Advocates for Fair Representation in Federal Appointments

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed,has called on the Federal Character Commission to ensure fair representation of Bauchi State in federal appointments to ministries, departments, and agencies.

Mohammed made the appeal while welcoming a delegation from the Federal Character Commission, led by its Executive Chairman, Dr. Muhibbah Dan Kaka, at the Government House in Bauchi, wednesday.

Speaking, Mohammed underscored the significance of equity and justice in federal appointments, urging that Bauchi State be fully represented at the federal level.

He highlighted the importance of the Commission’s role in promoting balanced representation among states, fostering inclusivity, and enhancing unity across the nation.

Governor Mohammed expressed that Bauchi has skilled and capable individuals who could contribute meaningfully to the country if given the chance. He emphasized that fair representation would not only strengthen national unity but also create a sense of belonging among citizens from all regions.

Responding, Dr. Muhibbah Dan Kaka assured the governor of the Commission’s commitment to equitable distribution of federal positions across states.

She, however,  pledged that the concerns of Bauchi State would be considered as the Commission continues its mandate of ensuring balanced appointments nationwide.
