Governor Bala Strengthens Partnership with Resident Cement

As part of a strategic plan to accelerate industrial development in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed recently met with the Group Chairman of Resident Cement, Dr. Abbas Waziri, on Friday in Abuja.

This courtesy visit aimed at reinforcing the robust partnership between Bauchi State and Resident Cement, a major entity in Nigeria’s construction and manufacturing sectors.

During the meeting, Resident Cement reiterated its commitment to establishing a large-scale cement factory in the Gwana District of Alkaleri Local Government Area.

Valued at billions of naira, this project is expected to have a significant impact on Bauchi State’s economy by generating employment opportunities, improving local infrastructure, and establishing the state as a prominent hub for cement production in Northern Nigeria.

Governor Mohammed emphasized his administration’s dedication to creating an investment-friendly environment, noting that such partnerships are essential for realizing the state’s broader development objectives.

He expressed appreciation for Resident Cement’s confidence in Bauchi State and assured the company of his administration’s full support to ensure the project’s success.

The Group Chairman, Dr. Waziri, commended Governor Mohammed for his leadership and strategic vision. He highlighted that the planned cement factory would contribute not only to Bauchi State’s economic growth but also to Nigeria’s broader goals of industrialization and self-reliance.
