Governors under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reiterated the party’s unity and readiness to provide effective leadership for Nigerians.
The meeting, hosted by Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, brought together governors, party leaders, and other key stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting the party and their respective states.
Speaking at a dinner organized as part of the event, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, assured Nigerians of the Party’s commitment to national leadership despite internal challenges. He described the PDP as a united front, poised to deliver a better Nigeria in 2027.
Governor Mohammed commended his colleagues for their attendance and urged Nigerians to maintain confidence in the PDP.
In his remarks, Governor Mutfwang thanked the PDP governors for choosing Plateau State as the meeting venue, expressing optimism that the party is positioned to reclaim power from the APC-led federal government and steer the country toward progress.
The dinner was attended by notable figures, including the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun, former governors, members of the National Assembly, and elder statespersons such as Ambassador Yahaya Kwande and Ambassador Mary Lar.
Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, also commended Governor Mutfwang for his hospitality, noting that PDP leaders are currently focused on rebuilding the party to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
