The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the fire incident that occurred at MRS Filling Station, Batchure Junction, along Numan Road on Tuesday night.
The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), disclosed this in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Tuesday in Yola.
Morris said that the timely intervention of the command’s operational unit, in collaboration with firefighters, brought the fire under control, preventing further escalation.
He assured residents of the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while calling on members of the public to provide any useful information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
The statement urged citizens to remain vigilant and adhere to safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the fire.
