Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has met with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, in Abuja to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore strategic collaborations between Bauchi State and the United Kingdom.
Discussions between the two leaders centered on key areas, including education, healthcare, trade, infrastructure, and investment, with a shared commitment to fostering sustainable development in the state.
Governor Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to attracting foreign investment, strengthening economic partnerships, and implementing governance reforms to improve the lives of Bauchi residents.
“The development of Bauchi State remains a top priority, and we are keen on leveraging partnerships with the UK to drive progress in critical sectors,” he stated.
In response, High Commissioner Richard Montgomery commended Governor Mohammed’s leadership and vision, expressing the UK government’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that align with mutual interests.
He acknowledged Bauchi’s strategic importance and assured continued engagement in programs that promote good governance, economic prosperity, and sustainable development.
