The Gombe State Police Command has announced a restriction on movement between the hours of 12 a.m. and 5 a.m., effective from February 7, 2025, as part of efforts to address rising security threats in the state.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Police Command said intelligence reports indicate an increase in security concerns, necessitating proactive measures to safeguard lives and property.
“The Command has resolved to curb the menace of these threats and has placed restrictions on movements between the hours of 12 a.m. to 5 a.m., starting from February 7, 2025,” the statement read.
The police urged members of the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in ensuring the state remains a safe and secure environment for all residents.
The Command also advised parents and guardians to caution their wards, stressing that violations of the restriction would not be tolerated.
