NAF Airstrikes Decimate Terrorist Strongholds in North-East

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified airstrikes on terrorist strongholds in the North-East and North-West, targeting key hideouts and disrupting insurgent operations.

According to Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, precision-guided air interdiction missions were launched on fortified enclaves in Chiralia, Grazah, Yuwe, and Zango Hill, eliminating numerous insurgents and crippling their networks.

During the operation, NAF attack aircraft struck enemy structures, neutralizing terrorists attempting to flee. A subsequent assault targeted Grazah and Yuwe, notorious hideouts in the Mandara Mountains and Sambisa Forest, where extremist leaders were indoctrinating fighters. Relentless air raids dismantled their operational bases and neutralized fleeing insurgents.

In the North-West, the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji launched a major offensive in Zango Hill, Katsina State, in coordination with ground troops. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions identified armed bandits entrenched in the rugged terrain, prompting swift precision airstrikes. Helicopters provided close air support, ensuring that terrorists were neutralized and unable to regroup.

Recent NAF air interdiction campaigns have dealt a severe blow to terrorist activities across multiple regions, with intelligence reports confirming the destruction of high-value targets and critical logistics infrastructure.

The NAF has reaffirmed its commitment to sustained air operations alongside ground forces to restore peace and security in affected areas.
