
Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba on Tuesday received the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Lagos, Yan Yuqing, at the TY Danjuma House in Jalingo.
The visit is part of activities leading up to the Taraba International Investment Summit scheduled for Wednesday.
Kefas said the visit was aimed at strengthening existing relations between Taraba and China, particularly in areas of investment and resource development.
He said Taraba had maintained cordial and productive ties with China and expressed his administration’s readiness to expand the partnership.
“Taraba remains a peaceful and welcoming environment for investors,” the governor said.
The consul general said her visit was to explore investment opportunities in the state and foster bilateral cooperation.
Souvenirs were presented to the Chinese delegation as a mark of goodwill.
The investment summit is expected to attract stakeholders from the public and private sectors, both local and international.
