
The College of Nursing Sciences Maiduguri, Borno State, has announced a series of job openings across various academic departments, inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the advertised positions.
In a notice signed by the Office of the Registrar and made available to Insight Northeast, the College is seeking educators to strengthen its academic staff in Nursing, Midwifery, and General Studies.
According to the advertisement, the Department of Nursing requires Nurse Educators with a MSc in Nursing and BNSc degree with at least Second Class Lower Division (2/2). Possession of a PhD in a related field is considered an added advantage.
Similarly, the Department of Midwifery is seeking Midwife Educators with identical qualifications.
In the Department of General Studies, vacancies exist for Lecturers in English, Chemistry, Behavioural Science, Physics, and Nutrition.
For English Lecturer, a BA in English with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division is required. MA and PhD in English will be an added advantage.
For Chemistry Lecturer, a BSc in Chemistry is required, with MSc and PhD qualifications considered as additional strengths.
The Behavioural Science Lecturer position requires a BSc in Sociology, while MSc and PhD in Sociology are desirable.
Physics Lecturer applicants must have at least a BSc in Physics with Second Class Lower; higher degrees are preferred.
For Nutrition Lecturer, candidates must hold a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, with MSc and PhD qualifications offering added value.
