Taraba Woman Delivers Quadruplets, Community Seeks Support

A woman from Goje village in Mayo-Selbe Ward, Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State has delivered a set of quadruplets, sparking widespread celebration in the community.

The rare birth, which took place recently, has been described by residents as a miracle and a blessing not only to the family but to the entire community.

In a statement on Thursday, community members called on key stakeholders to intervene and support the family, given the significant financial and social responsibilities associated with caring for four newborns.

“We are appealing to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State; the Distinguished Senator representing Taraba Central; the Honorable Member representing Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna Federal Constituency; the Honorable Member of the Taraba State House of Assembly representing Gashaka; the Chairman of Gashaka Local Government; and the Councilor representing Mayo-Selbe Ward,” the statement read.

The community emphasized that while they rejoice over the rare blessing, the family would require urgent assistance for feeding, medical care, clothing, and overall welfare.

They also urged NGOs, philanthropists, and other well-meaning Nigerians to support the family during this critical time.

“This is a time for compassion, unity, and collective action. Let us support this family to ensure that these children grow up healthy and strong,” the community added.

The family and residents expressed gratitude and prayed for continued blessings upon the community.
