The Borno State College of Health Technology, Maiduguri, has announced vacancies for academic positions in various disciplines as part of efforts to strengthen its teaching workforce.
In an advertisement signed by the Registrar, the institution invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of tutors and medical officers across different departments.
The positions include Tutors in Optometry and Dispensing Optics, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Hydrology Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, English Language, Public Health Care, as well as Dental Therapy and Hygiene.
Applicants are expected to possess relevant academic qualifications such as Doctor of Optometry, B.Pharm, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, B.Eng. in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), B.Sc. in Mathematics, Statistics, Human Anatomy, Nutrition, and English, alongside MBBS for the position of Medical Officer and BNSc. for Nursing/Midwifery.
The college also listed responsibilities for the positions, which include delivering high-quality teaching and assessments, participating in curriculum development, engaging in research and scholarly activities, and mentoring students.
Interested candidates are required to submit a detailed curriculum vitae, cover letter highlighting their qualifications and teaching philosophy, copies of academic certificates, as well as names and contacts of at least two referees.
According to the advertisement, all applications must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar on or before July 15, 2025.
