The Mohamet Lawan College of Agriculture, Maiduguri, has announced the commencement of recruitment for various academic and technologist positions in the institution.
In a statement signed by the Registrar and dated June 30, 2025, the college called for applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill positions in several departments, including Agricultural Technology, Animal Health and Production, Forestry Technology, Home and Rural Economics, Basic Science and Technology, and General Studies.
Academic vacancies are available under the Lecturer Cadre for Lecturer I, Lecturer II, Assistant Lecturer I, and Assistant Lecturer II, across specializations such as Agricultural Engineering, Soil Science, Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Forestry and Wildlife, Land and Survey, Home and Rural Economics, Computer Science, Biochemistry, and Physical and Health Education.
Similarly, vacancies exist for technologists in Laboratory Technology at the ranks of Principal Technologist, Senior Technologist, Technologist I, and Technologist II.
The entry requirements for academic positions include a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Lower Division in relevant fields, alongside evidence of registration with professional bodies. Possession of a Master’s degree, Ph.D., and computer literacy are considered added advantages.
Candidates applying for technologist positions must hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a credit grade in relevant fields, in addition to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificates. Cognate experience and computer literacy are also preferred.

According to the statement, the deadline for submission is three weeks from the date of the advertisement. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
