SMEDAN, Wema Bank Open Portal for Youth, MSME Empowerment Programme

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), in partnership with Wema Bank, has opened the application portal for its capacity building programme aimed at empowering 800,000 youths and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

The initiative, announced on Monday in Abuja, is designed to provide participants with training in digital marketing, business strategy, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business growth.

According to the organisers, the programme will also offer mentorship opportunities with successful entrepreneurs from within and outside Nigeria, alongside access to markets and financial support to help businesses scale their operations and drive economic development.

The capacity building scheme will be delivered through virtual training sessions, complemented by business mentorship engagements and linkages to finance and market opportunities.

Interested participants have been advised to apply through the programme’s official portal: https://wema-smedan-pilot.azurewebsites.net.

SMEDAN and Wema Bank said the partnership reflects their commitment to boosting youth employment, enhancing entrepreneurial skills, and strengthening Nigeria’s MSME ecosystem.
