Nigerian Law School Student Dies After Being Barred From Bar Final Exams

A student of the Nigerian Law School, Ayomiposi Ojajuni, reportedly took his life after he was allegedly barred from sitting for the Bar Final examinations at the Yola campus, sources said.

Ojajuni, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, was said to have been distressed on Saturday, December 6, when he learned he would not be allowed to participate in the professional examination, which commenced that day.

According to sources, the decision to prevent him from taking the exam was linked to prior disciplinary actions, including multiple queries issued to him by the institution.

Following the news, Ojajuni reportedly ingested a harmful substance and was rushed to Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola, where he was confirmed dead on Sunday, December 7.

Authorities at the Nigerian Law School and the hospital were yet to issue an official statement at the time of this report.
