The All Progressives Congress has announced its consensus candidates for the 2027 State House of Assembly elections in Borno Central Senatorial District.
The party confirmed the emergence of three returning lawmakers and six newly nominated candidates to fly its flag in the forthcoming elections.
Among the returning lawmakers are Hon. Alhaji Bukar Abatcha for Ngala State Constituency, Hon. Bukar Modu, popularly known as Doctor B, for Konduga State Constituency, and Hon. Abba Kyari Abba Kolo for Jere State Constituency.
The newly nominated candidates include Hon. Dauda Garba Satomi for Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) State Constituency, Hon. Abba Kolo Kumshe for Gulumba Woloji State Constituency, and Hon. Babakura Alhaji Zaram for Bama State Constituency.
Others are Hon. Modu Mustapha for Dikwa State Constituency, Hon. Zanna Abubakar Jabu for Kala Balge State Constituency, and Hon. Allawan Alhaji Yakub for Mafa State Constituency.
The party congratulated the candidates on their emergence and expressed confidence in their ability to lead the APC to victory in the general elections.
The APC also prayed for wisdom, protection and strength for the candidates as they prepare for the electoral contest.
