The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has announced Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
The decision was reached on Sunday during an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting presided over by the party leader and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
At the meeting, party leaders and stakeholders unanimously endorsed Gwamna to fly the APC flag in the forthcoming governorship race, signaling early preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The gathering also ratified consensus candidates for the state’s three senatorial districts, six House of Representatives seats, and all 24 State House of Assembly constituencies.
The development underscores the party’s strategy to maintain internal cohesion and avoid primary election disputes as it positions itself for electoral success in the state.
