Adamawa allocates 1,164 Hajj 2027 seats to 21 LGAs

The Adamawa State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Commission has allocated 1,164 Hajj 2027 pilgrimage seats to the state’s 21 Local Government Areas ahead of preparations for next year’s pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

According to the allocation released by the commission, Madagali Local Government received the highest number of seats with 134, followed by Yola North with 97 and Gombi with 80.

Michika was allocated 78 seats, Fufore 72, Mayo-Belwa 69, while Demsa received 62 seats.

Maiha was allotted 54 seats, Mubi North 52, Yola South 50 and Mubi South 49.

The commission also allocated 45 seats to Shelleng, 43 to Song, 38 to Girei, 33 to Hong, 29 to Ganye and 25 to Numan.

Jada received 20 seats, Toungo 14, Guyuk 13, while Lamurde was allocated seven seats, the least among the local government areas.

The commission said additional pilgrimage slots under the Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) and SGS categories remain available to accommodate eligible intending pilgrims and meet the state’s overall Hajj requirements.

It urged intending pilgrims to complete the necessary registration and payment processes within the stipulated period to secure their participation in the 2027 Hajj exercise.

The allocation is part of the commission’s preparations to ensure an orderly and transparent process for Adamawa pilgrims participating in the 2027 pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
