Adamawa Police Debunks Rumor of Female Students’ Beheading

The Adamawa State Police Command has on Monday dismissed rumors circulating on social media that two female students of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Yola, were beheaded in a hotel.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, described the information as fake news and misleading, urging the public to disregard it.

The police command has deployed operational assets around hotels for surveillance to checkmate criminal activities and ensure a conducive atmosphere for safety and security in the state.

CP Morris directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations to ensure strategic deployment of officers and operational assets around hotels in the state.

He emphasized that the presence of police and other security agents around hotels demonstrates the command’s determination to create a secure environment, and assured that no such incident occurred in the state.

The CP also advised social media bloggers to refrain from spreading false information that threatens public peace and to operate within the bounds of the law.
