Fintiri Approves Suleiman Ahmed as Substantive Provost of College for Legal Studies, Yola

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa has approved the appointment of Suleiman Ahmed, Esq., as the substantive Provost of the College for Legal Studies, Yola.

This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Yola by the state government.

According to the statement, Ahmed’s appointment followed the recommendations of the Governing Council of the College after its 24th meeting.

Ahmed had been serving in an acting capacity as the Provost before his confirmation.

He previously held various key positions in the College, including Dean of the School of Law, Head of the Department of Common Law, Head of Consultancy Services, and College Examination Officer.

Ahmed joined the College as an Assistant Lecturer in 1994 and rose through the ranks to become a Chief Lecturer.

The statement noted that his appointment takes immediate effect.
