Consider Public Opinion on Tax Reform Law- Bauchi Gov Urges Tinubu

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has called on cabinet members to stay committed to achieving the goals outlined in the #MyBauchiProject blueprint.

According to Lawal Muazu Bauchi, New Media Aide to Bauchi Governor, Mohammed made this call while addressing the opening of the State Executive Council meeting at the Executive Chamber of Government House on wednesday.

Speaking on national issues, Mohammed expressed concern about the ongoing discussions on the national tax reform law, noting that it may not favor the northern region.

He emphasized that, as a united nation, Nigeria should avoid laws that could marginalize certain parts of the country.

Governor Bala urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to approve any bill that might disadvantage specific regions.

Governor Bala voiced confidence in the northern region’s potential to sustain its economy, given its rich resources in agriculture and minerals.

He highlighted the need for policies that genuinely support growth and development in the North.

The Executive Council meeting later continued in a closed-door session with members of the SEC in attendance.
