Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Galaxy Backbone Limited as part of his administration’s significant step to enhancing the Bauchi digital economy and ICT landscape.
The MoU aims to reinvigorate the Bauchi State Bureau for Information, Communication Technology, and Digital Economy, aligning with the governor’s #My BauchiProject I and II agenda.
Speaking, Mohammed emphasized the importance of ICT in driving transparency, accountability, innovation, and effective service delivery in governance.
He noted that these are critical pillars for sustainable growth and development in the state.
Governor Mohammed, however, expressed gratitude to Galaxy Backbone’s management for their commitment to the success of the initiative, reiterating his administration’s continued support for ICT development as a tool for youth empowerment and economic progress.
The Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone Limited, Prof. Ibrahim Adeyanju, lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for championing this partnership.
Adeyanju stated that the collaboration would enable the state to leverage technology to enhance governance and deliver democratic dividends to its people.
He added that the initiative would significantly boost transparency and accountability in public administration.
Director General of the Bauchi State Bureau for ICT and Digital Economy, Hayattudeen Baba Ma’aji Abubakar, praised the governor for taking bold steps to transform the state’s ICT sector.
He described the signing of the MoU as a landmark move that underscores the administration’s commitment to revolutionizing the sector for the benefit of the people.
This partnership represents a major milestone in Bauchi State’s efforts to harness the power of technology for socioeconomic development.
