The Federal Government says it is set to pay the outstanding five months N35,000 wage award arrears to federal workers.
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) announced this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
The OAGF said the Federal Government had earlier paid five months of the wage award in instalments, adding that the outstanding arrears would also be paid in instalments of N35,000 per month for five months.
It said the first instalment of the arrears would be paid immediately after the April 2025 salaries.
“The wage award arrears would not be paid with the April 2025 salary; it will come immediately after the salary is paid,” the statement said.
The OAGF restated the Federal Government’s commitment to the full implementation of policies and agreements on staff remuneration and welfare to enhance productivity and efficiency.
