Governor Bala, AMCE CEO Discuss Healthcare Partnership

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Friday received in audience the Chief Executive Officer of the African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE), Mr. Brian Deaver, at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

Mr. Deaver was accompanied by Mr. Gbemisola Ajiboye, Business Development Manager of the Centre.

The meeting centred on potential areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery in Bauchi State, including the training of medical personnel, development of telemedicine services, and outreach partnerships to extend AMCE’s specialist interventions to underserved communities.

Governor Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare, stating that his government remains open to innovative partnerships that support ongoing reforms in the health sector.

“We are determined to provide quality healthcare to our people, and we are happy to explore collaborations that will enhance our capacity to do so,” the governor said.

In his remarks, Mr. Deaver commended the governor for his visionary leadership in health reform and expressed AMCE’s readiness to partner with the state on initiatives such as specialist training, early diagnosis programmes, and a referral system linking patients to AMCE’s advanced medical facilities.
