Fintiri Urges Igbo Community To Remain United For Adamawa’s Progress

Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa has urged the Igbo community in the state to remain united for the development of the state and Nigeria at large.

Fintiri gave the charge when he received members of the community led by the Eze Ndigbo, Chief Godwin Omenaka III, on a courtesy visit at the Government House, Yola.

The governor assured the group that they would continue to feel at home in Adamawa, adding that his administration was committed to building a united state.

He also granted their request for land allocation and pledged to review political appointments to accommodate more members of the Igbo community.

In his remarks, Chief Omenaka thanked the governor for his consistent support for Igbo cultural activities and promised the community’s continued support for the administration.

Similarly, the President-General of the Igbo Cultural Association in the state, Chief Emmanuel Nwabueze Aneke, said the visit was to express gratitude for the governor’s commitment to development.

He appealed for more political appointments and employment opportunities for the Igbo community and reminded the governor of their earlier request for land allocation for a skill acquisition and entrepreneurship centre.

According to him, the centre will contribute significantly to human capital development in the state.
