Four persons have been confirmed dead following a fatal road accident in Zangon Kanwa, Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The incident, which occurred earlier today, involved an 18-seater commercial bus that collided with a trailer.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Yobe State Police Command, SP Dungus Abdulkareem.
According to the statement, the collision resulted in the immediate death of four passengers, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
“The unfortunate accident involved an 18-seater bus and a trailer at Zangon Kanwa in Karasuwa LGA. Four persons were confirmed dead at the scene, and the injured have been evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the statement read.
SP Abdulkareem added that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and urged motorists to adhere strictly to road safety regulations to avoid further tragedies.
