Abducted Kukawa LG Secretary Regains Freedom After ISWAP Kidnapping
The Secretary of Kukawa Local Government Area in Borno State, Abubakar Abaka Marte, who was abducted by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) insurgents on Tuesday, has regained his freedom, security sources confirmed on Wednesday.
Marte was released earlier today along with other abducted travellers, less than 48 hours after their abduction at a fake checkpoint in Jigalta village along the Maiduguri–Monguno highway.
