The former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF), Ahmad Tijjani Galadima, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Galadima was declared winner after securing 414,444 votes, defeating his closest rivals, Abdullahi Haske, who polled 65,893 votes, and Abdulrazaq Namdas, who scored 86,004 votes.

Following his victory, Galadima paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House in Yola, where he commended the governor for his role in ensuring a peaceful and credible primary election.

He expressed appreciation to Governor Fintiri for providing what he described as necessary support and leadership that contributed to the smooth conduct of the APC exercise in the state.

The APC governorship candidate also praised the governor’s administration for laying what he called a solid developmental foundation in Adamawa State, particularly in infrastructure and other key sectors.

Galadima pledged to build on the achievements of the present administration if elected governor in 2027, promising continuity and improved service delivery.

In his response, Governor Fintiri congratulated Galadima on his emergence as APC flag bearer and assured him of cooperation ahead of the general elections.

According to the governor, “We accepted your candidacy, and we will deliver you,” adding that his administration had transformed the state through extensive infrastructural development and people-oriented projects.

He further noted that the foundation already laid in the state would ensure continuity and sustainable development for the people of Adamawa State.
