Beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund in Anambra State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and donated N10.7 million toward the purchase of his 2027 expression of interest form.
The students made the donation during an event held at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam campus, on Friday.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council in Anambra State, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, said the gesture was in appreciation of the Federal Government’s education loan scheme and other youth-focused policies.
According to him, the NELFUND initiative had eased financial challenges faced by many students and expanded access to tertiary education.
“We are collectively endorsing President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office in recognition of the transformative impact of the NELFUND scheme and its role in reducing the financial burden on Nigerian students,” he said.
Chukwuemeka added that the N10,735,500 donation was a symbolic contribution toward the President’s expression of interest form ahead of the 2027 election.
He also commended Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for supporting education and promoting improved learning standards in the state.
The students further praised businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, as well as leaders of the City Boys Movement in the South-East, for supporting youth development and mobilisation.
Among dignitaries present at the event were former Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Student Matters, Okoye Mathew, and several Student Union Government presidents.
