Internal Security: Adamawa CP Deploys More Personnel to Kopre Village

The Adamawa Police Command has deployed additional personnel to Kopre village in Hong Local Government Area to strengthen security and prevent violent crimes.

The deployment followed an ambush on hunters and some members of the Civilian Joint Task Force by heavily armed men on April 26, 2025.

Kopre is a border village between Adamawa and Borno states.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, said the deployment was part of efforts to sustain collaboration with sister security agencies, particularly the military, to enhance security across border communities.

Morris urged the officers deployed to exhibit professionalism, talent and prompt response in tackling violent crimes.

He reiterated the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property through intelligence-led policing.

The command appealed to residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information to aid in crime prevention and ensure public safety.
